Beyond Self Recognitionss

He heard the natural music. It was like chimes were playing out there in the midst of the rain. Maybe they were. It would be hard to tell due to the heavy and steady downpour of rain. All that mattered was it was a special melody to which they could dance to. He listened as it was calming and peaceful. A beautiful song to which they could relax and be free in. It was like the evils of the world were held at bay while this nature's melody played for them. He hadn't ever been on a ball room floor but perhaps he would have his first time with a good friend. Who knew. Nobody knew the future except a seer or a fortune teller. All his attention was really on was dancing with Elliene.

He moved them slowly and with delicate ease. He kept his forehead rested against hers. Seeing her eyes closing and a smile crossed his lips. She was trusting him completely to lead them in this dance of elegance. He closed his eyes and just moved them slowly across their small makeshift ball room. Taking care not to miss a step or pull her too fast. it was all staying in sync with her...that was all that mattered. The nature's song and their dance was the only things on his mind. Enjoying the dance as he moved them, turned them, and lightly twirled them around. He wanted to keep this dance up for as long as she could handle. When she would tire is when he would draw this beautiful dance to an end. Not a moment sooner.

Right now it was indeed like there was nothing that could stop them and their beautiful dance. He mentally was singing along with the nature's song. Humming it but it would be just in his head. In his head he was keeping time with the sound the storm was creating for them. He twirled them around again. Moving them side to side. Backwards and forwards. Around and around. All with delicate and graceful ease. Slow rhythmatic movements that he was timing so she could keep up with him. Nature was the composer and they were the actors. The dancers which would tell the story through movement and nothing else. Right now was perfect for him. For right now he was feeling peace and perfection. He was dancing with a beautiful maiden who was trusting him to lead her in this dance.

Every inch they took, every slow step, movement made the female love this  way even more. She may not have had anyone to show her other than her father but to her, this was all she could ever want. He was easy to follow, made the dance elegant and peaceful. The dance would soon get tiresome but then again, not all would dance forever. Even being vampire the young girl wouldn't dance for too long. As she did though, her long slightly wavy hair would sway and move with the dance. The strands that rested over her shoulder and over her chest would barely sway as he twirled her about and moved with her. Soon though she began to hum softly to a tune that had been created in her mind, all thanks to the song made by the forestial rains. 

After a long time of dancing slowly, twirling, and steppig the girl began to slow more than they had been. Elliene then whispered softly to him, "I would love to continue but... May I rest a while?" she moved her hand closer to the curve of his shoulder and looked up, waiting for an answer.  Sure he could not talk but through magic alone, to be honest if he nodded that would be all she needed for an answer from him. 

Felix was loving this dance. It was so much better than when he danced with his mother while she was teaching him to dance. It was more fun too. He was glad now she had insisted upon those constant lessons in the various things he knew. He watched as her hair swayed and moved with the dance. His eyes glancing to it with each movement or so that it made. He listened to her humming and smiled. He bet she had a pretty singing voice. After a long time of twirling and dancing her felt her beginning to slow. He slowed them to a perfect end of their dance. Looking down at her and smiled. Nodding his head after a moment. He didn't let go of her. He wanted to not break the magic of the moment. He just held her close after that. This dance had been the best moment in his life. The best good moment he had in a very long time. He was glad it had happened.

The gradual gradiation to a steady stop soon came her way and she smiled, looking to him as he nodded she leaned into him and rested her head on his shoulder. Slowly she let go of his hand and placed it around his side, just holding herself close to him. Running away never felt good when she had done it, but now- it was heaven. Something she hadn't felt, somethign she treasured. The moment was worth keeping, even the memory of her first dance was a peaceful and joyous one. Elliene sighed hapily and spoke as he shifted her head a little, "Thank you for making me happy. You are... you are the first who ever made me feel like a person... like I mattered. Instead of making me feel like I should be locked away." the girl's thoughts then were on her father and uncle.

Her uncle was the one who locked her in her dark room till night came, said it was becuase she would not last one second in the light. Her uncle proved that once by sticking her hand in the light and when she pulled it away she saw it was burnt, badly burnt. It took a long time before her father got rid of the burn and the scar it came with. Her father wasn't mean about keeping her inside though, he let her wander the upstairs durring the day unless her uncle was there. Then she was locked away and never let out. Her father and uncle always got in fights becuase of how she lived. One wanted to give her some freedom, the other wanted her under watch with lock and key.

Felix was smiling as well. Smiling was something he hadn't been sure he truly knew how to do anymore. Yet here he was smiling with true happiness. He took the hand she had just let go and rested it on her back lightly. Holding her close to him even as she held herself close to him. This was the best memory he had in a long time. He just held her as she stayed close to him. He looked down at her as she spoke. Looking into her eyes. Smiling at her. He took the hand not in the middle of his back and reached into the dust pouch. Throwing a bit into the air. ~You are welcome.~ He said as she thanked him.

He was happy he had made her happy. Listening to her speaking and tilted his head to the side. Moving the dust around to form more words to her. ~You are a person. You matter. Even if no one has ever let you know that. You are a person who matters. At least to me you are.~ He said and blushed lightly afterwards. He shook his head and moved the dust around again. [yellow=color]~Nobody deserves to be locked away. I'm going to look into getting you a dark cloak to help you move about during the day if need be.~[/color] He informed her with a smile.

He could sense her thoughts on something that bothered her. As a result he held her even closer. Wanting her to come back to the here and now. The dust fell to the ground lifelessly. The more words he formed in one use the faster the dust lost its magic. It didn't matter he had an unlimited amount of dust. He just held her and wondered what thoughts she was having that made her have such an expression on her face. It wasn't that was easily described but it wasn't the one of joy that had been there recently.

Elliene was a shy and timmid girl, misstreated by being locked away. Looking to him she smiled and rested her head again, feeling rather relaxed. She then watched the words form and she gripped him tighter, glad he thought of her as a person, instead of a charm to be locked up. But she made a little noise when he mentioned the sun and burried her face in his shoulder. The girl clung tightly to him and shook her head, "I can't go outside... the sun would kill me... I can't go outside..." she was scared to go outside and to be permanently hurt. She didn't want to die from the sun either. She moved her hands and clung to his shoulders as she tried not to think of it.

He felt her grip him tighter. Rubbing her back lightly. Unsure why she was reacting that way. He felt her head resting against him and moved up one hand to stroke her hair. Hearing the noise she made. He looked at her. He felt her clinging to him tightly and pulled her even closer to him. He moved the dust around. ~A dark, dark thick cloak would help even a vampire travel short distances to a place of refuge. Especially on cloudy days. If you don't want to...you don't have to. I'm sorry for mentioning it.~

He felt so bad about upsetting and scaring her. He felt her fear and nuzzled her hair. Mentally wishing he could use telepathy to sing into her head. He didn't want her to die or be hurt either. He just wanted her to feel as normal as possible. He rocked with her as he tried to sooth her. Sure they were both young adults but rocking sometimes soothed the soul even of adults. He kissed the top of her head. Mouthing sorry against her hair. He rubbed her back and stroked the back of her hair.

Elliene was scared of the sun, she hated how it was to her. She felt like she was being punished for something she never did, punished in a dark and cruel way. The young vampire didn't feel that she should deserve this either, looking to the side she watched the words. They swirled and formed about saying what the cloak could be used for going in the sun, protecting her like some kind of armor. Every thought about going into the sun scared her but the thought of this protection made her want it, so she could see what the day was like. Though Felix then apologized and she moved her head to look away into to darkness.

Closing her eyes she felt a nuzzle and she seemed to calm down from the fear, soon he began to make them sway in a gentle rocking motion. Elliene never expected his lips to touch her hair as they did in a kiss nor did she expect him to mouth a word to her, she could feel it. The girl had to guess what it may have been but soon she gripped him tight and brought them to sit on the ground. The maiden pulled him down to sit by the stream with her, she was sitting by him facing the same way he was now and soon she crossed her arms over her chest, "Felix… you shouldn't be sorry. I can't go in the sun, I was born that way... But that is not why I am scared. The reason I am out here is because I ran away..."

"I ran away from my uncle and father... My uncle hurt me years ago proving to my father I could not be in the sun at all... Every time he stayed with me and my father- I'd get locked in my room till the sun set... My father always let me wander the upstairs, but never my uncle. I had enough of being locked up in my room... It's why I am here, with the one being who ever treated me nicely instead of some... Some..." she looked down and cried, "Some dark family secret that needs to be kept hidden...." the tears were short lived as she pulled her knees closer to herself Elliene then leaned into Felix's shoulder and stared ahead. 

Felix felt her move her head and look into the darkness. He was curious why a simple nuzzle made her seem to calm down. He didn't feel fear from her anymore. It was like that one simple action brought her peace and serenity. Why was that? He was glad it had but didn't understand it at all. He didn't realize he had caught her by surprise when he kissed her hair. He just felt the desire to do so and had. Had hoped it would bring her peace. He hadn't even realized truly that he had mouthed the word against her hair. That she had felt the word and was guessing what it could possibly be.

She gripped him tight and he didn't mind it. Just let her pull him down to sitting by the stream with her. It was having occasional ripples further out into it. He turned his head to see her sitting by him. Her facing out in the same direction he was. He looked back out across the stream. It was a beautiful sight. Looking to her as she started speaking. Listening to her speaking. Smiling a bit with a light tilting of his head as she talked to him. ~Alright. I didn't mean to bring you fear. I was just trying to help you feel like you are normal. To me you are. You are just like anyone else.~ He told her with the dust.

Listening to her as she spoke. Shaking his head as that was a horrible thing her uncle had done to her. ~That was wrong of your uncle to do. It was wrong of them to lock you up. You are just like anyone else. It doesn't matter you can't be in the sun without protection...you are still just like everyone else. You have feelings and a right to live a normal life.~ He told her. Wrapping an arm around her and pulled her closer to his side. He lay his head on hers as she leaned into his shoulder.

The dust moving around again. ~You can have a normal life. We'll have one together. Hang out. Be friends. Do things together. Even if it has to be at night. We can be just like any other set of friends. I'll get you that cloak and occasionally we can go out in the daylight. I'll bring you things during the day. You can sleep when you want. Be awake when you want. You can start a whole new life now Elliene. You can do anything you want to do. Just believe in yourself.~ After that the dust fell down lifeless. He just stared ahead as he relaxed with her close by. He meant what he said. He would never let them take her back to a life of imprisonment. Never.

The nuzzle had made her think of how her father's old hound used to be, it never failed to nuzzle her when she was upset. But thing was Felix made the gesture different. Made her feel more confident. The simple kiss on her hair made her smile and feel safe in his arms as well. Felix thought of her as normal, like everyone, no different or anything. That had brought her to smile.

Elliene watched the dust again and sighed with a shake of her head. She knew it was wrong but still it hurt to be locked up. His arm was now around her and she sighed with a smile, "I would love to feel a normal life... as long as you are there with me." The girl then moved and put a hand on his face and kissed his cheek, "Thank you for making me feel better Felix. I am glad to have a friend like you." she turned her head and pulled her knees up closer to her chest.

Felix did think her no different from anyone else. He was glad she seemed more confident. That she smiled. He liked her smile. He would have been happy to know she felt safe in his arms. He would do his best to make sure she never lost her safe feeling. He lay his head on hers for a moment. Smiling a bit then blushed slightly. Nodding his head and pulled a tiny bit of dust out and blew it into the air. ~I'll be there with you. I promise.~ He said truthfully.

Smiling as he lay his head on hers again. Lifting it as he felt her hand on his face. Leaning into the cool skin of her hand just a bit. He blushed deep red as she kissed his cheek. He smiled a bit. ~Any time Elliene. Any time. I'm glad to be the friend you needed the most. You are a friend that I needed and was too afraid until I met you to let into my life. I was afraid if I made friends I couldn't protect them. I swear no matter what I'll do my best to protect you from everyone. Especially your family if they come. They will never take you back with them. I won't let them. You are too important to me for me to lose. I would be lost without a purpose......without you.~

He kissed her cheek lightly. Still blushing lightly. She meant a lot to him and he wouldn't give up knowing her or being able to be with her for anything.

Elliene was shy and still scared of living in this "new" world she'd soon see, all she had for a guide was this man with her. Even she would be unable not to accept, he was so kind to her. Looking to the new words swirling in the air she smiled at him and nuzzled into him. Glad he'd be there for her. She had seen his blush and it made her giggle, even his smile made her feel good. As did her's to him. His promise made her sigh and feel slightly happier, when she left she had never expected to gain a friend such as him. When he kissed her on the cheek she looked down and smiled, if only she could blush. Lifting a hand she touched where his lips touched her skin and she smiled.

"I would be alone without you Felix... I am not sure... how I could live if I lost you as well."

Felix was going to be there to help her adjust to the "new" world she was now in. A world that was outside of being locked indoors. Of being locked in one place for so long. He couldn't imagine a life like that and never wanted her to feel that way ever again. He blushed a bit more as she nuzzled into him. Wrapping his arm around her more snuggly. Holding her close to him. Maybe his light warmth would feel good to her against her cool skin. He heard her sigh and saw the smile hadn't left so wasn't worried.

He saw her look down and tilted his head. He knew she would be blushing if she could. He could but they were much softer than a human's blushes. He watched her touching her cheek where his lips had met her skin. She was still smiling so that was a good sign. He nodded his head in agreement. Grabbing a small amount of magic dust and threw it into the air. ~I wouldn't want to be without you. Not ever again. Now that I have you I'm not sure how I would be if I lost you. You won't lose me. I would want you to keep living and be strong as you can be if that happened but it won't. I promise...I will do everything I can to stay alive and well for you.~

Every gesture made by the male comforted her, made her feel like a person. In her life she was never given treatment like this, it made her feel good. Even so as he pulled her closer she could feelthe slight warmth from him, the heartbeat of a Human; the feel of this was magical almost. It made her happy that he was there. Elliene looked to the dust and watched and read everyword. Her unseating heartstrings were pulled and smiled with a ashen tear. She couldn't imagine what it would be like without her first and only friend. Elliene didn't want him taken from her; he made her smile, treated her as if she was normal, made her heart feel like it could possibly beat, "Thank you..." with that the girl muttered she was going to sleep now she turned more into him and held onto him. Sleeping with reasurance that the male was there, to help keep her safe. Lucky if the sun shown upon rising, it would never touch them at all.

He had the heartbeat of a human yet he wasn't half human. He was half something and he didn't know what. He did know it wasn't half human though. His mother had been adament about that. He lay his head on hers. He softly kissed the top of her head absentmindedly. His thoughts on how happy he was around her. How happy he was to be with her. He would work odd jobs and earn money to buy them a house. He would buy them one so she could be safe from the sun during the day. Then he would save up to get her that dark, dark cloak. He smiled and mouthed your welcome into her hair. He was lost in his thoughts when he felt her turn more into him and hold onto him. He wrapped his arms around her and would hold her protectively close. He would keep her safe while dozing off himself. A light sleep so he could react fairly quickly if danger should approach. For now they would just rest.

Elliene snuggled close to him in her sleep, the warmth he gave off drew her close to him as well as the comfort she felt from him. It was nice to have someone who saw her as everyone else, someone who wanted her safe but not locked away. Her uncle, Aristo Mortis, was always after her head when she insisted to be let out. He hated her wanting to be independent, wanting to be free from what he did every time he was at her father's home. He was rude to her father and her, but never to her other uncle whom was traveling around. It was hard though being a Nightwalker - even as she thought of it her arms wrapped a little more tightly about him. With a gentle nuzzle the girl pulled her legs closer and loosened her grip. She wondered how her dad thought of her now, now that she ran away from home. He probably was worried but he understood she always wanted to run and be away from the house. He'd be proud if he knew she had a protector like Felix. The Vampire relaxed and soon was fully resting on him, a smile on her lips as she slept soundly. Soon she'd wake but not now. 

Felix lay down and felt her snuggle close to him in her sleep. He curled up against her in response. His eyes lulling closed and he just wanted to sleep now. He fell into a sleep as well. Together they would be an unstoppable team. He pulled her into him as he slept. He would never let them take her from him. He would fight them tooth and nail to keep his beautiful Elliene with him. To keep her in his life....he would do anything he could to keep them from taking her away. He felt her nuzzling him and nuzzled back in his sleep. He relaxed even further yet a part of him was happy to have found her. He smiled and felt the day turning towards night. This snuggle fest made him happy. He loved being near her. Loved having her in his arms because it made him feel successful. He just wanted to stay like this a little longer. Sleeping fully and trying to keep from waking. He slept very little and fought waking. He was never fully relaxed. He had to protect her no matter what. My Elliene... He thought in his head.
