Jessie's trip to the village Empty
PostSubject: Jessie's trip to the village   Jessie's trip to the village I_icon_minitimeFri Jul 06, 2012 1:09 am

The smell of roasting meats floated to the air toward the hungry little she wolf. Her sky blue eyes with golden specks peered out from under the hood and toward the lovely smells that where floating over to her. Two hands came up and pushed the hood down reveling a blonde girl with perfect features. She let out a small breath as her stomach growled. She dug around in her purse and found only a little gold. Both hands took a hold of the soft fabric as she moved from where she was and into the village as the smelling of roasting meat and cooked veggies hit her nose nearly sending her into a good ferny. The blue in her eyes where disappearing and being replaced with specks of gold as her wolf awoke. A she walked she got stared from guys and glares from girls but she was used to it, it was nothing new for Jessie but she was still as sweet as always. She finally reached the meat seller and looked at him and smiled. She talked with him and sadly did not have enough money but he was kind enough to give her a little free sample to at least tide her over. With each bite she took her eyes turned back to sky blue. She licked her lips as she sat on one of the benches with her meat and watched the people of Storybrooke. With Jessie being new in town she needed to get a feel of the towns people so this was the best way, just sit and watched...then she needed a job. She slept in the forest and she rather liked that so that was not an issue she just needed a job.

Erik wasn't paying much attention to his stomach. His attention not really on anything of importance at the moment. He was just walking and didn't really have a goal in mind. His stomach was growling but what did he care? He could feed it when it got to where he absolutely had to feed it. He walked with his hands in his pockets and his head not looking at anyone. Just focused on the ground. The whole appearance and demeanor screamed emo and broken. In a way he was broken. Broken from all the abuse his family put him through. Through the different types of abuse his own mother put him through. If he couldn't trust his own parents how was he to trust anyone outside of family?

He stopped and looked around. Going to a bread seller and put some coins down. Purchasing a loaf of bread. "One loaf." He said in a seemingly emotionless voice. He wasn't emotionless he just seemed that way. Life had made it so he seemed that way. His black jean vest and black jean pants fit him just the right way. His vest zipped up to the lower part of the top of his chest. He felt dead inside and at the same time he didn't. His psychic powers his only true companion. Psychic powers were like a form of magic but they weren't magic at all. They were their own category of power.

He went and sat on the bench in front of the fountain. Breaking a piece of bread off of his loaf. Sticking it in his mouth and chewing on it. He sensed others and smelled another like him but didn't care. He didn't sense any kindred spirits. Or even someone who could understand the pain he felt. He glanced up and saw the younger teen sitting on the bench across from his. Glancing back down and didn't make a move or show he had seen her.

She ate another piece of her meat making her eyes completely sky blue, she sat there and just watched until she felt a tug at her bottom of her dress, looking down the young she wolf saw two little kids in ripped up dressed. They looked to be about five and twins to be exact. She gave them the rest of her meat samples and one gold coin each. They smiled and ran off. She looked in her purse seeing that the golden coins where her last bits of money and she was still hungry…but at least the kids where not for at least another day. She closed her eyes and let out a sigh wondering what the heck she was going to do now, she could sleep in the forest, which she liked, and she could hunt which her wolf loved but she needed a job. She whimpered low before she noticed the male and tilted her head a little. She tilted her head up getting his scent and realized he had wolf in him unless he was fully wolf; she was not close enough to tell. Getting up she picked up her now empty coin purse and began walking closer until a male was hurrying and she lost her balance and fell. “Oh I’m sorry sir.” She said and got up brushing off her dress and continued on walking to the man who she thought looked at her earlier, either way it was nice to say hello. Nearing him she smiled and moved next to him on the fountain to sit and let out a breath and looked at him, “Are you new here to the town…um…Storybrooke?” She asked before continuing, “I’m Jessie and I’m new…very new here.” She said with a light laugh. Her tone was bubbly and fun and her tone was also cheerful, Jessie was just a positive and happy she wolf.

Erik glanced to see two little girls in torn dresses. Least if they were on the streets they didn't have parents who would take the light of life from their eyes. Other than that he didn't really care. He wasn't heartless but in his mind, due to his own parents abusing him, having no one and being on the streets beat the life he went through up until he was almost eighteen years old. His nose caught a scent moving towards him and he glanced up through somewhat long lashes before looking away. Maybe she wouldn't come his way. Then he couldn't accidently hurt her feelings.

He saw her fall and looked to make sure she was okay. The man ran near him and he growled at him. Not a noticable growl where you could see it. Barely could hear it. The man had heard it before he rushed off even faster than before. People like that man were disappointments and irritants. At least the female seemed okay. He had looked at her earlier but hadn't thought she'd noticed. Wasn't like most people noticed him anyways. He blinked a bit as she neared him. Turning with a puzzled look on his face. Was she seriously sitting next to him?

He looked away for a moment. Thinking to himself. Then looked back to her as she started talking to him. He got a look on his face that said is she seriously talking to me? Or is it just my imagination. He was used to no one seeing him. He hoped his distance wouldn't scare her off. She would be distant too if she had went through hell twice over like he had. He said nothing until she started speaking. "Yes....and...no. I am fairly new but not freshly new." He said in a distant and lifeless voice. The voice of a man who had withdrawn and frosted himself over towards the world. Even more so it was clearly the voice of a man whose spirit was broken. Whose lifes light was dim.

Blinking as she introduced herself. "Erik." He said after a moment. She was so bubbly and fun sounding. So full of cheer and happiness. He contrasted her in every single way. He came off emo and lifeless at best. More like a shell than a soul filled man. "You a wolf?" He asked. His tone never changed. It was distant to the point it was cold. More importantly...it was void of any life or emotion.

So since she was so lively...she most likely wouldn't be able to understand what his life had been like since he was old enough to not need his mother to walk around...six months old. That was when it all spiraled rapidly downhill. It worsened when he was three and started talking. The things his parents said and did to them would horrify even some of the darkest members of society. He would have to warm up to her before he trusted her. Right now he was guarded. "I'm a wolf." He said. Looking at the fountain. She was pretty and even he would admit she was. But he didn't feel anything but emptiness inside.

(OOC: His history was too horrible and too long to elaborate on in his character sheet. if you have any questions PM me and I'll elaborate some for you.)

(~Planned rp coming up! Member and admin okay-ed)

Jessie smiled as he spoke and noticed his expressions and tone, she also noticed his distance and his frost. Still though she smiled and kept her happy and full of life tone. She nodded, "Pleasure to meet you Erika and yes I am a wolf." She told her smiling bigger. He looked at the suddenly empty village and looked back at Erik, "You are also....at least you smell like you are." She said just ask she was suddenly grabbed and yanked up. Her sky blue eyes speckled again with golden brown as she looked at the man who has her arm in a tight way that was probably bruising. She wrinkled her nose because this man smelled like cheep beer and old cigarette smoke. He then proceeded to drag her away as if he didn't see Erik and pushed into the ally. Jessie fell to her knees quickly and she let out a scream as the man pushed her onto her back. She kicked and wiggled trying to get away but that only got his legs on hers and her wrists pinned under his tight grip. With terrified eyes she stared up at the male who was hovering over her.

Erik saw the man come up and act like he wasn't there. He wrinkled his nose a bit. Dude smiled like an ash tray meeting a bottle of old whiskey. In other words...he smelled foul. He saw her get yanked up and dragged. The man acted like he wasn't even there. His eyes flashed with power but he didn't use it just yet. Since the man ignored that he was there he stalked him. Slowly and lethaly. Like he would have a deer or some wild game out in the open. He growled a bit. Then there was silence. Men like him were irritants. He didn't feel anything. Numb to the word but irritation was an emotion that was not quite an emotion. One he allowed himself to occasionally have.

He suddenly was directly behind the man. "Couldn't you see I was talking to her?" He asked coldly. "No matter...you don't treat anyone that way." His tone even more void of emotion and in fact came off very cold and almost darkly dead. His eyes turned purple and the man would fly up into the air at a spiral. Then land on the ground with a loud thud. He wasn't through though. He picked her up by her arm and then let go. Walking towards the man who by now seemed to have stood up. He formed a purple ball of energy in his hand. Hurling it into the mans chest sending him flying back a few feet. He formed another one. Throwing it again at the mans chest.

He then picked him up with seemingly just his fingers. Hurling him into the wall hard. He then stopped using his powers. "You have five seconds to run back in the direction I am facing old man. Then I don't give you any more chances to get away." Abusive men...brought back memories that brought back things he didn't want to remember in vivid imagery. He waited to see if the man would do so. It would determine his next move.

She screamed 'no' as he proceeded to pin down Jessie, she shut her eyes knowing full and well what was going to happen. She felt a hand trailing down her body just before her wrists ad legs where free. She opened her eyes just in time to be picked up by her arm. "Uuhhh." Left her lips as she blinked a few times seeing what was happening to the man before them. She watched a hand over her mouth as her eyes stayed sky blue with speckles of golden brown. She stayed behind the man named Erik as she watched the man stand up and stumble about then take off running. Only after the name's scent was gone would be when Jessie talked. "You saved me....thank you. Please let me thank you by cooking you a meal...I'd by you a meal but I don't have any money, I'm trying to get a job." She told as her eyes slowly shifted back to the sky blue.

Erik heard her Uuuuhh but was a bit preoccupied. He watched the man stand back up and stumble about. Dude was wasted to say the least. He watched him then run off. He watched to make sure he didn't change his mind and come back for more. He turned to face her just as she started talking. Looking at her and shrugged a bit. "No biggie. Men like him irritate me." He said lifelessly. "You are welcome though." He said simply. He blinked a bit. "You don't need to do that." He said. Not even a frown crossed his face or laced his words. He watched her eyes shift back to sky blue. Pretty eyes to fit a pretty woman. "I heard the spa has positions. Don't know for sure." His dead even toned voice told her. He looked at her. "Let's go get you some food." He said simply. Walking past her and stopped to make sure sure was following. Leading her towards the food stalls. He had a weird feeling she was going to insist on cooking him dinner. He had a feeling she was starving so he was helping her out being she probably didn't have much money. Mind you it wasn't because he cared. It was because it was the decent thing to do. He wasn't like his parents at all.

She got a surprised look on her face as he said to just get food and then walked right by her.She caught up to him and touched his shoulder very lightly, "Erick wait, just come to my nature home I can make us a meal. Please? Give me a chance. The way you talk with no emotion, something bad happened to make you talk that way, I wont hurt you. I want to repay you for saving me." She said in a nice, calm, even tone and smiled up st him a little hoping he would reconsider and let her make them a meal to eat.

Erik flinched, tensed, then relaxed when he realized it was just her. The touch to his shoulder had made him flinch and tense on instint. He turned and looked at her. Listening to her as she spoke. Why did she even care? She said please. To give her a chance. Listening to her nice, calm and even tone. Seeing the hopeful smile. Why? Why was she so insistant on this? He was clearly thinking about it. She wanted to repay him for saving her? It was no big deal. He thought on her sentence before the one about repaying. How did she know something bad happened to him?

He thought on her last words. The way you talk with no emotion, something bad happened to make you that way, I won't hurt you. His mind then focused on the last part of that. I won't hurt you He nodded his head slowly. "Fine. I'll go with you." He said without emotion. Looking at her. She said she wouldn't hurt him but would she really not do so? "You really don't need to repay me. It wasn't a big deal." he said. Trying to play it off. To him saving her hadn't been that big of a deal.

He looked at her. "How did you know that? How did you know that something bad happened to me?" He asked softly but still without any expression or emotion.
