Getting a job

Since Sam found the three he was looking for, he decided it was time to get a job. He was thinking the military force that he was in the last two realms he was in. He walked into the guard house, he wanted to be a knight this time. He could do that, he was a castle guard last time. He looked around and rubbed the back of his neck. "Hello?" He called out. "Anyone here?" He asked.


((OOC: Was told Dameon was still healing but still wanted to post this ))

((ooc: yes but my dude is so pigheaded. he'll have by now talked Rylee into letting him do desk work for a couple of hours then he will come home exactly two hours after arriving lol)

Damian finally talked Rylee into letting him go to work for two hours. He swore to her he would only do desk work. He also swore to come home after two hours. So he would keep his word or she would confine him to the house again. He caught a scent as he approached the building. He walked in behind the man. "Hello. I am. You are." He said with a laugh. It would sound tired as he was drained just from the walk here but he was a strong willed man who was basically healed just needing to recover for a while longer. He just couldn't stand bed rest every hour of every day anymore. He walked to his desk. Sitting behind it. Looking at Sam. "I'm Damian. I'm doing deskwork. Then going home. What can I do for you sir?" He asked. A warm smile on his face.

He was getting the impression nobody was here and was about to look elsewhere though he really wanted to work at then Guardhouse he loved working there in his last realm. Then he heard a voice, hopefully these people where nicer....he nodded to the man, "I am here to get a job as a knight...I was a castle guard in the last realm I was in and I loved my job but I has aa pack being mistreated all overthat realm so we relocated....anyway we ended up breaking up and so here I am with part of my old pack and I'd like to be a knight. Who do I need to speak to?" He asked rubbing the back of his neck.

Damian looked at the man. Giving a tired smile and could see a pain written in this man's eyes. He listened respectfully as the man spoke on what he wanted. He was actually a bit amused that he didn't even have to start the interview. The man gave him important information up front. Such as his experience in the field. Which since the man wanted to be a knight was a huge point in his favor. He liked a man who showed initiative. He listened with his elbows on the desk. Resting his chin on his fingers.

"Well the King and Queen in this realm are quite interactive with the people they rule over. Gabriel gets in trouble with Xion the advisor quite often for interacting with the common folk." He smiled at him. "I'm glad you were reunited with part of your pack." He sat up straight when he got to the important question. "You already have been speaking to who you needed to speak to." He said. Holding his hand out to Sam. "Damian. Captain of the guards. The one who plans to hire you on as Knight with just a few simple questions that I needed answered first."

He looked at him. "First question...you have to chose between catching a major villain and saving innocent civilians from a building the villain set on fire. Which would be more important...the innocents or the criminal?" This was an important question. This question had only one right answer. He then gave the next question. "A child asks you to play with them but you have a mission. Would you make time to spend a few minutes with the child or would you kindly explain you aren't able to play at this current time? This question doesn't have a right or wrong answer. It will just give me an idea of your personal code of conduct."

He paused for a moment. "If you are given an order...will you follow it to the best of your ability? And for the final question...what is it that drives you to want to be a knight?" He smiled at him. "From what I can tell about you...you are a man of high morals and a great code of conduct. The position of a knight you are well qualified for. I have already decided to give you the job. I just need you to answer those questions and I'll inform King Gabriel. He'll want to meet you to congratulate you on your knew title as knight of the kingdom." He explained.

Sam looked at the man and nodded listening rubbing his neck as he listened, the fact that the King was interactive was new, Sam was in the old realm about six or seven months and he never met the King, he didn't comment on that though. He listened to the first question, "I'd save the innocent....no question." He said and heard the next one, "I'd play with the child, there is always time to play with a child." He told him and smiled. Then he heard the last. "Well, in the other realm I wanted to be a knight to help keep the lands safe, but they never would listen to me. They never even give me a chance. Anyway I think my time as a castle guard helped me with long hours, being able to hold myself in a fight, I know between right and wrong. I just know I'll make a great knight if you will just give me a chance, you won't be sorry." He finished and stayed quiet rubbing his the back of his neck.

Damian would listen as Sam spoke. A smile crossed his face as he answered the most important question of them all correctly. Nodding his head in agreement. He agreed with the part about the child too. He listened intently as the man explained why he wanted to be a Knight. He didn't like the people in the other realm. To him they sounded like stuck up pompus asses. That was putting it kindly. He didn't know any other king then Gabriel and if he had been in the other realm meeting Gabriel and how he is would be a bit of a shock. He picked up a paper. "If you stick around a few minutes you'll get to meet Gabriel. This letter says he plans to be by around this time." He paused for a few minutes. Standing up and had to hold onto the desk for a minute. Then walked around. "Well...sir...what is your name?" He asked with a smile. Yes. He needed the name for the next part.

(OOC: Gabriel said after your next post he is gonna jump in)

He listened to Dameon and smiled when he said he got the job. Score one for him! He nodded, "Okay." He said and dropped his arms and stood rather proud with himself and he should be, he just got a job as a knight....to him he was moving up in the world, "Who are the Sargent and the Lieutenant?" He asked as he waited, he wondered where he would be sleeping....so far this was nothing like the old realm. "My name is Sam. Sam Spencer." He said with a nod.

Damian looked at him. "The watchman per the king is Rose. The Lietenant is Ruby due to her saving my life. The sergeant is actually two people for one." He explained. "The person who is Sergeant is Miss Emily. Its two people for one because her wolf friend Dawn is always with her." He stood up and grabbed the sword. Pushing Sam lightly by the shoulder until he knelt down. "Alright then Sam." He said. Touching the flat of the sword to Sam's shoulder. "Sam Spencer...as Captain of the guards and loyal citizen to King Gabriel...I do hereby Knight thee. You are know Knight Spencer." he said. Resting back against the desk. Dropping the blade to the ground. Panting as he made his way back into his seat.

Gabriel had left the castle. He was helping Damian out with his paperwork. A man could only do so much while he was recovering. Little did he know the man was now sitting at his desk. He had left Lukas a note telling him where he would be. The man wasn't going to be too far behind him. (Lukas allows me to NPC his presence) He could already sense Lukas making his way rapidly towards him. He walked quietly into the building. Getting there in time to see Damian Knight a young man. Interesting. He walked over and smiled. "Well Damian...I see you aren't any better at listening to orders than I am." He said with a light laugh. Walking to in front of Sam. Extending a hand of offering to help him back up. "Hello sir. My name is Gabriel. Who might you be? I see you got knighted. You must have impressed Damian. He said only the best would he make a knight." He had a warm expression on his face.

He listened and smiled, "I know Emily and Dawn." He said, "They used to be with use in the other realm." He said and got down on his knee as he got knighted and grinned. He rose and looked to see another man coming in and hear him, "I'm Sam Spencer but now I'm a Knight so Knight Spencer." He said with a nod and bowed, "Pleasure to meet you your Majesty." He said to him and wondered where the Queen was, if there was a queen.

Damian nodded his head. "They stay out towards the pearlheart pack...at least I think they do." he said. Rubbing the back of his head. He couldn't recall right now. He was getting tired again so his thinking was a bit strange. He heard Gabriel and laughed. "Let me guess. Xion was giving you commands and you just walked out the front door." He said with a playful tone. Knowing full well that is what happened. The advisor was a big grouch to put it nicely. He looked at Gabriel to see if he would tell him what he usually told people. He looked to Sam. "This is King Gabriel. He is a very laid back king but does a great job protecting the kingdom." He said. He stood up. It had been two hours. "Well I must get back home. If I'm late Rylee will restrict me to the bed again." He said with a light laugh. Walking slowly out the front door. "Goodbye Gabriel. See you later. Goodbye Knight Spencer. I look forward to working with you. Don't forget to write in the guard notebook."

Gabriel looked at Damian and laughed. "Well...actually...yes. That is quite accurate." He said. "Man really needs to lighten up and let go of some of the old ways of doing things." He said. He just smiled as Damian continued talking. "Recover well my friend." He said to Damian. He looked back at Sam. "Mind if I just call you Sam?" he asked. He shook his head. "Just Gabriel. We aren't at a royal function and it is rather hard to make friends when people must address you with titleage. In front of Xion is the only must call me your majesty. Any other time I prefer just be called by my name. Seems much more like I'm interacting if prospective friends can address me by what my name is. Don't you think?"

He stood Sam up as he had been bowed. "You'll probably eventually meet Queen Quora. My fiance is as bad about leaving the castle to mingle as I am. I rather respect that in her. I think a king should be known by his people. That the people he ruled over know that their king is still just a man who hopes to live a long life and have a family. Royals...they are still people. People should be able to trust and love the ones who rule them. If they don't know you...it'll be hard for them to truly have faith and trust in the king and his decisions."

He sat down and looked at Sam. "So what brings you to these lands? Is there anything I can do for you? Anything you would like to see done possibly differently?"

Emily was going back to work, she was able to, it wasn't like she was going to kill herself working. She was dressed her usual brown tunic. She was 4 months pregnant and she had a fully rounded belly. It was small but it was clearly a pregnant belly. She pushed open the door letting Dawn go in first as she looked around for any dangers that could hurt Emily, she was being very over protective.Emily walked in and looked to see the Captain, "Shouldn't you be home working?I thought Ruby was in charge for now." She asked in a playful yet wondering tone. She then turned to the King and bowed as best she could, "Your Majesty, I hope everything is okay and your just visiting." She said wondering where the Queen was. She then looked at Sam and just stared for a moment, "SAM!" She yelled and ran over and hugged him, "Sam! You're here! Why? I mean I'm glad but you're here! Are you staying?" She asked out of breath, from the walk and getting excited to see Sam again, clearly they where old friends and she needed to catch her breath.

He looked at Damian and nodded, "Okay." He said with a nod, "I'll remember to write in the guard book." He said with another nod. He then looked at the King and nodded as he talked then heard the question. "Oh well I had a pack and we relocated but the other leader and I sadly had a falling out and our pack had a falling out and we went our separate ways. But there where a few I felt like I needed to find. Well one particularly the rest where all together. Her name is Holly and she's a very sweet lycanthrope but she's had a bad past and even though she was with Taylor, Lulu and Jace and I knew they would protect her I just had to find her and make sure she was safe plus Taylor is my closes friend in the pack and Lulu and Jace tied for second. Just something my gut feeling told me." He explained before a women walked in and he blinked smelling her scent..it smelled simlar bit not exactly the same. He blinked, "Em! Hey Em. Traveled here to find Holly, Taylor, Lulu and Jace. Looks like I found you too." He said and caught sight of her rounding belly and blinked, "Are you pregnant and working as a guard?" He asked before looking down at Dawn as he nodded to her before looking back at Emily.

Gabriel nodded his head. "Yes. Holly is a sweet young woman. I've seen her at the castle kitchens a few times." He said. Looking to Emily as she walked in. "He was on his way out. Shouldn't you be home taking it easy? I do recall Damian telling you to stay off your feet while the baby is growing in you." He was teasing her lightly. "Don't worry I won't utter a word about you being here." He laughed a bit. "It is refreshing to see guards that are job oriented. Even when they should be taking it easy at home." He looked towards the door. "That goes for Damian as well." He said. Shaking his head. "Damian talked Rylee into doing two hours of desk work every day."

He blinked a bit. "Yes. Just visiting. I get rather soffacated staying in the castle. It won't be long til Xion finds me." He sighed. He hated when the old cranky bat found him. "It is good to see the budding mother is doing well." He said with a smile. He wondered where that young man Ark was. He was literally with Emily all the time. He walked to Dawn and knelt by her. "Hello Lady Dawn. I hope life is treating you well." He reached into a bag and pulled out some beef jerky. Offering it to Dawn. Looking to the two friends. "Ah so you know each other. That is good."

He looked to Sam. "Emily is the Sergant I believe. She earned her position. Damian gave her the position for all her hard work back in some place called Phoenix. Man knows how to treat those who work under him." He stood up once Dawn took the beef jerky. Looking at the other two. "Hey Lady Emily...is your significant other going to be coming by here? He is usually not far from you and Dawn." He smiled at Sam. "I'm proud to have such noble and loyal guards of various ranks working for us in this kingdom."
