Learning A New Spell

Lulu had gotten a letter from her best friend Zyar to come to the University so she was going. She was dressed in a normal dress, it was white with red ties and tied shut in the back. She let out a breath pushing open the doors of the familiar University. With her she had Min Min who might want to play with Ava, she wasn't sure since there was about a 6 year age difference between the two but none the less she brought her adopted daughter with her.

"Zyar?"

She called and looked around.

Zyar was playing with Ava. Hoping Lulu got his letter so she would come. He wanted to teach her a master dragon spell and a master phoenix spell. They were hard spells to master but worth the time it would take to do so. He picked Ava up as he heard her voice. Walking out of there with her and smiled. "Lulu! You came! Good. Ava go play with Min Min. I think you'll like her." He set Ava down. She ran over and studied Min Min. He looked at Lulu. "I wanted to teach you two special spells. One is a dragon spell and the other is a phoenix spell. They are master level spells and will take time to truly master."

She smiled as she watched Ava and Min Min before she looked at Zyar

"Course I came."

She said happily and moved with him as she listened to him and tilted her her head,

"That sounds...hard."

She said and smiled,

"Yet I love a challenge. Let's start."

She said with a bright smile. She was rather excited that she was going to learn more magic. She looked over at Min Min and Ava making sure they where getting along though she really had no doubt in her mind they wouldn't both where very well behaved.

"So what do I need to do first?"

She asked happily and awaited instructions.

Zyar nodded his head. "It is indeed hard but well worth the practice this spell will take." he said. Smiling when she wanted to start. "Very well." He said. Leading her into the magic training room. Looking out at Ava. "You and Min Min go play in the kid room your mother and I set up for you." When she took Min Min and did that he went back into the room. "You need to channel all of the magical energy within you. Forming it into the palm of your hand in an every growing ball of fire energy." he said. Holding his hand out. "Like this." A ball of wisping flames began to form in his hand. "Once you manage to get the ball to this size...and it will take a few tries...than I want you to roll it between your hands. This is warm up for the spell words I am going to tell you. Like this." He rolled the fire ball between two hands making it turn cylindrical shape. "we are going to practice you forming and manipulating the mana first. Then I will teach you how to arc it in the shape of a dragon." He explained.

She watched as Ava and Min Min ran off to play and smiled before looking back at Zyar and concentrated and listened. She listened and watched nodding her head thinking. Back in Phoenix she learned to channel her mama and tapped her finger on her arm.

"Okay, but how do I know what kind of magic it is? I know there are different kinds, how do I know what magic it will be? If I want to to be light magic do I need to think about that while I forum the ball in my hand, or will it be the type of magic I am strongest in?"

She asked as she shifted to where her weight was even on both legs, getting ready while she waited for Zyar to answer, then would be be ready to try to form the ball in hand.

Zyar watched her channel her mana. He could feel it as it intensified within her. "You feel it. You focus your thoughts on it. Normally the type of magic it would be depends on what type of magic you are strongest in. Following the pattern down the strengths to the weaknesses." He looked at her. "To do fire even if it isn't your strongest you must feel it as if it was a living flame. You then form it into a ball in your hand. However, in most instances the magic ball that would form in your hand would be the type of magic you are strongest in." He watched her. "Now proceed Lulu. I know you can do this."
